According to an article in The Reporter from December 31st, 2021, convicted child molester Stuart Clampitt took over ownership of the paper along with three other men at the beginning of last year. Clampitt was convicted of multiple charges including child molestation, sexual misconduct with a minor and child pornography between the years of 1996 and 2003. According to court records, his initial conviction involved a 15-year-old girl. Clampitt was 22-years-old at the time.

Crouch is being charged with one count of Disorderly Conduct.
