CARMEL, Ind. — REAL News Central Indiana has obtained a copy of Carmel Clay Schools’ “Gender Support Guidance” designed to sexually transition children within the public school system. The plan lays out names, pronouns and which bathrooms/locker rooms the child chooses to use, among a host of other information. The plan also appears to target parents who may be against their child attempting to change their gender.
One section of the 10 page document not only seems to attack parents, but also appears to border on a violation of privacy.
“What, if any, will be the process for periodically checking in with the student and/or family?” The document states.
Directly below that section is an area to describe how the child will signal they need help “outside of the building” in terms of their gender transition.
Another section even discusses Pride events for the child.
The most disturbing section seems to be designed for teachers and staff to have a privacy plan when dealing with questions from parents.
“If the student has asserted a degree of privacy, what are expectations of Carmel Clay Schools if that privacy is compromised?” The document states. “How will a teacher/staff member respond to questions about students (sic) gender from other students? Staff members? Parents?”
The bottom of each page of the “Support Plan” also contains the following disclaimer, appearing to indicate even more hostility toward parents who would resist changing the gender of their children: “Legislation requires that a student’s parent/caregiver be involved in this conversation. Please contact an Administrator and/or EI Officer for additional consultation if additional safety risks need to be considered or you need additional support.”
You can read the entire “Gender Support Plan” below.
