NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — REAL News Central Indiana has learned the man arrested at the Fishers branch of the HEPL Library last week doesn’t even live in Hamilton County. And, has been sued for paternity of his own child in Johnson County, where he lives. Despite now having his wages garnished in order to pay child support, he’s been traveling to Hamilton County to attend HEPL Library meetings to oppose a policy that would remove inappropriate material from the children sections of the facility — attempting to impact the lives of children that aren’t even his own.
Police arrested Adam T Crouch, 49, on July 27th for refusing to leave the library after making multiple disparaging outbursts during the HEPL Library Board meeting. Crouch livestreamed his outbursts on Facebook, where he started by lambasting the Bible as being a book that should be banned from children’s sections as well.
“You want to know how many depictions of violence are in the normal Bible?” Crouch said during public comment.
“I’ll pay the board $50 for every book the board reads.” Crouch strangely added.
After Crouch finished his public comment, he yelled “cheap asses” at the board before appearing to slam a library book onto the floor. At that point, the Library Board President requested Crouch leave and directed Fishers Police Officers to escort him out. Crouch refused to leave and, after several minutes, police arrested him for trespassing.
It turns out, Crouch has a habit of causing a scene at the HEPL Board meetings. He was escorted out of the meeting by police in June as well.
The Indianapolis Star published a story regarding the arrest, but failed to name Crouch or give any background on his character or previous behavior.
PATERNITY CASE
According to court records, the mother of Crouch’s child filed a petition to establish paternity in 2019. While it appears Crouch initially fought the petition, he eventually came to an agreement with the mother. The court established Crouch was the father in March of 2020. In April of 2020, an income withholding order was sent to his employer, UPS.
SOCIAL MEDIA RADICALISM
Crouch also appears to push a radical agenda on his social media accounts where he’s recently promoted drag shows for kids, National Orgasm Day and maintaining inappropriate material in children’s sections of libraries.
