FISHERS, Ind. — REAL News Central Indiana has discovered several disturbing social media posts made by the Principal of Fishers Elementary School, including a 4th of July post in which called police racist.
“Worth pointing out tha (sic) police are highly trained and able to arrest someone who has been identified as ‘armed and dangerous.’ But again and again we see that training go out the window if the suspect is not white.” Fishers Elementary School Principal Brian Behrman posted to his Instagram account on July 4th of last year.

The anti-police post came less than two months before another anti-police controversy in Hamilton Southeastern Schools in which a “Defund the Police” poster was found in the classroom of a child whose brother had recently been killed in the line of duty.
The brother of Officer Noah Shahnavaz, an Elwood Police Officer who was killed during a traffic stop last summer, found the sign in a classroom at Fishers High School when he returned to class in the fall of 2022. Officer Shahnavaz, a Fishers native, was a 2016 Fishers High School graduate. The the HSE Board of School Trustees eventually issued an apology.
TREND OF RADICAL IDEOLOGY
It turns out, Principal Behrman is not shy in his public attacks against police, Christians and anything else that could be considered conservative.
In another post from 2022, Principal Behrman called Christians oppressors. He’s also made multiple posts quoting socialist Howard Zinn, pushing the LGBTQ agenda, promoting abortion and advocating for Critical Race Theory.

FAILING SCHOOL
Behrman has been the principal of Fishers Elementary School since 2019. In his time there, Fishers Elementary students have had some of the worst test scores in Hamilton County.
According to 2022 ILEARN scores, Fishers Elementary School ranked dead last in the HSE district in English/Language Arts scores with only 45% of children passing as proficient compared to Geist Elementary which scored a 71.8%. Fishers ranked 2nd to last in Math.
RNCI reached out to Principal Behrman for comment. As of publication he has not responded.
