WESTFIELD, Ind. — An LGBTQ activist has organized a free drag show for kids later this month, however, she appears to be hiding the fact that the drag show is even happening in most of her promotions.
Alisha Hunter of Westfield Pride Ltd. is organizing and promoting the show as a “Family Friendly Pride Event” at Asa Bales Park on September 30th. Hunter has sent out multiple different promotions for the event. Depending on where the event is being advertised, she either includes or excludes information regarding the drag show.

For instance, a flyer on Hamilton County’s Economic Development website, visithamiltoncounty.com, does not mention anything about the planned drag show. Instead, it only promotes things such as food trucks, kid friendly games and “family friendly activities.”

However, on the Westfield Pride Facebook page, which has less than 400 followers, Hunter promotes the drag show with pictures of three “performers” who will be dancing provocatively in front of children.

Hunter also conveniently leaves out the drag show portion of the event in an interview with a local newspaper, Current Publishing. The article states there will be DJs, speakers and food, while the drag show is omitted.

The event is scheduled to go from 2:00pm-7:00pm on Saturday September 30th. The drag portion of the event starts at 6:00pm.
