WESTFIELD, Ind. — For the second time this month, a drag show aimed at children is planned for a large outdoor venue in Hamilton County. Westfield Pride is planning the event which will be held at Asa Bales Park in Downtown Westfield this Saturday, September 28th.
This is also the second year for the “Westfield Pride” event. Pictures from 2023’s activities show young children tipping grown men wearing women’s lingerie at Asa Bales Park. The event also included a children’s story hour and several booths for Westfield High School clubs, staffed by Westfield High School students.
While event organizers are being open about the drag show this year, in 2023, organizers initially attempted to hide the fact that there would be a drag show for kids. For instance, a flyer on Hamilton County’s Economic Development website, visithamiltoncounty.com, does not mention anything about the planned drag show. Instead, it only promoted things such as food trucks, kid friendly games and “family friendly activities.”
The Westfield Pride event comes only weeks after a Hamilton County Church hosted a similar event just down the street in Downtown Fishers. “Fishers Pride” was held on September 7th on the lawn of Holy Family Episcopal Church. The main draw for the event was a raunchy drag show with Disney themed music aimed to entertain dozens of children in attendance.
Pictures provided to REAL News from that event show several scantily clad drag queens dancing and collecting dollar bill tips from children as young as toddlers. Sources who witnessed the event tell REAL News, at least one of the “performers” entertained the children with music from Disney movies. Witnesses also spotted what looked like a group of pre-teen children dressed in “furry” fetish costumes.
The event also included booths with people pushing race hate, pro-Hamas terrorist ideology and socialist propaganda.
HSE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER, DEMOCRAT CHAIR AND STATE REP CANDIDATE
Several politicians and members of the Democrat Party also attended the sexualized event aimed at children in Fishers.
One of the attendees was Hamilton Southeastern School Board Member Sarah Parks-Reese. Parks-Reese set up a table complete with yard signs and ways to donate to her campaign as she seeks re-election this fall. REAL News will be publishing a story about her later this week.
Also in attendance was Democrat Candidate for Indiana’s 29th State Representative Seat, Chris Hartig. Witnesses tell REAL News he took to the stage to speak during one point. Hartig holds a Doctorate degree in Education and is currently a professor at WGU Indiana. Despite not being a medical doctor, all of his campaign signs suggest he is.
Another attendee was the Hamilton County Democrat Party Chair, Jocelyn Vare. Vare also served on the Fishers’ City Council, however, she lost her re-election bid in 2023, in part due to her radical push and support of the sexualization of children.
HAMILTON COUNTY GOP RESPONDS TO FISHER’S EVENT
The Hamilton County Republican Party Chair, Mario Massillamany responded to the Fishers’ event with a scathing message about the sexualized show.
“The graphic images of a sexualized show targeting children at this event are deeply concerning.” Massillamany wrote. “It’s particularly to learn that elected officials, including current members seeking re-election, were present at an event featuring content inappropriate for children. Even more alarming is that Hamilton County Democrat Party Chair Jocelyn Vare, was in attendance and found nothing objectionable about young children interacting with scantily clad performers. This lack of concern from local Democratic leadership and certain Democratic supported school board members is profoundly disturbing.”
