BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — REAL News Central Indiana has learned the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library system is hosting multiple sexual LGBTQ events for children as young as 11-years-old this month. The first event, which already occured on June 17th, was held at the Zionsville branch right next to Eagle Elementary School. It turns out, the library mixed children as young as 11-years-old with high school and even college aged adults for the event titled “Pride Party”.
“June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month, and the library wants to celebrate with you!” A calendar with on the HMMPL website with a description of the event reads. “We will show the movie Love, Simon while we work on an assortment of small crafts to commemorate this special occasion. Whether you’re gay, trans, an ally, or anything under the rainbow, you are welcome!”
The calendar description goes on to describe the event as part of the library’s “Teen Programs” with children and young adults (Grades 6-12 & College) invited to attend.

The movie that was shown is a romantic comedy about a gay high school student. The film, which was offered at the library to children as young as 11-years-old, features inappropriate sexual content, underage drinking and anti-America undertones with a scene showing the main character interrupting the National Anthem.
REAL News Central Indiana spoke to retired sex crimes investigator and former St. Joseph County Homicide Commander Tim Corbett about what he thought about the event.
“This is a farm system for pedophiles to groom children under the guise of educational material.” Corbett said. “Young kids who are having sexual identity issues are being led down a path of destruction.”
ANOTHER GROOMING EVENT
Another event being offered to children as young as 11-years-old is being held at HMMPL’s Whitestown branch next week. The “Fireside Pride” event is scheduled for June 25th. A description of the event from the HMMPL website reads, ” Celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride Month at the library! We’ll sit outside to make macrame rainbows, eat rainbow snacks, and chat with friends. Teens of all identities and backgrounds are welcome to attend.”

Once again, the description goes on to describe the event as part of the library’s “Teen Programs” with children and young adults (Grades 6-12 & College) invited to attend.
