LOGANSPORT, Ind. — REAL News Central Indiana has learned a skating rink and arcade in Logansport is hosting a drag show for children tonight, May 16th. The show is being held at Logansport Skate World and Fun Center on the east side of town from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
According to a flyer for the event, all proceeds go to support Peru Pride.
The skating rink obviously caters to children. According to a post from Facebook, two weeks ago the rink hosted an event for children from North Western Elementary School. The rink also hosts “Christian Skate” every month.
The co-owner of the skating rink is Joshua Weber. Weber’s social media page is full of content supporting drag shows. However, it appears Weber’s business is not doing well. In a post from March 9th to Facebook, Weber stated that he gets very little support from the Logansport community and has had to rely on recruiting customers from out of town, including Peru — the same city that will receive proceeds from the drag show tonight.
Weber has received much deserved backlash from the community in private messages that he has decided to share publicly in an attempt to shame his critics.
