LEBANON, Ind. — The Lebanon Community School Corporation has re-opened its X (formerly known as Twitter) account following a REAL News investigation showing the school corporation was in violation of Indiana public records laws, as well as committing 1st Amendment violations. The LCSC illegally set its social media account to private last week after receiving immense backlash online for allowing a middle school boy to use the girls’ locker room — that same boy (who identifies as a girl) later viciously attacked a girl in Lebanon Middle School’s hallway.
“(I) feel that if they create a forum (such as a public comment opportunity), that forum should be open to everyone.” Luke Britt, Public Access Counselor of the State of Indiana, wrote to RNM in an email.
In a bizarre email attempting to justify the school district’s illegal actions, the school district attorney claimed the social media account was shut down due to safety concerns, stating the district had received threats that happened to coincide with news stories that had gone viral on the social media platform.
“On Friday, April 26th, our schools received another threat to the safety of students, staff, administration, and school board. A pattern has emerged linking the timing of multiple threats to posts from a Twitter (X) account.” Ken Frandsen, attorney for Lebanon Schools, wrote in an email to RNM. “To protect public safety, the school administration temporarily placed the school’s Twitter profile in a private setting thereby allowing them to closely monitor all communications and ensure a swift response to any potential threats in cooperation with law enforcement… We disagree with your assertion that this action violated either the access to public records laws or the first amendment protections.”
LCSC has received multiple threats over the past several weeks following stories regarding the school district’s treatment of female students. However, while Frandsen appears to attempt to blame an X account for several recent threats, there’s no evidence this is the case. It turns out, the district did not receive any threats on the social media platform. According to a report in the Lebanon Reporter earlier this week, all five of the threats to the school corporation came through email and none of them have been deemed credible. In fact, for the past three incidents, the school district has decided to not even evacuate any schools.
“Is it the school district’s policy to restrict criticism and close down a public forum for ALL stakeholders when it receives what the police describe as a non-credible threat?” REAL News wrote to attorney Frandsen in a follow up email on Tuesday. As of publication, we have not received a response.
BACKGROUND

Last week, REAL News published a story regarding a video showing a biological boy, who claims to be a girl, viciously attacking a female student in the hallway at Lebanon Middle School. It turns out, this is the same transgender student who has raised major concerns within the school district for his use of the girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms. Due to the nature of the video and requests from family members, RNM decided to only publish a screenshot from the video as seen above. Below is a description of what the video shows.
In the video, the biological boy asks his friend “Are you recording?” The boy’s friend responds by saying “Just pull her hair.”
At this point, the boy works his way through a crowd to the 6th grade girl he is planning to attack. He appears to yell the girl’s name before grabbing her by her ponytail from behind and dragging her to the ground.
The boy then stands over the young girl, punching her in the face approximately 10 times as she screams for help and uses her arms in an attempt to protect herself from the rapid succession of blows to her head.
According to several sources within the school district, the “transgender” child has a history of attacking and fighting biological girls.
BOY USES GIRL’S LOCKER ROOM
A REAL News story last month featured video of a Lebanon Community School Corporation School Board Meeting, in which a different 11-year-old 6th grade girl at Lebanon Middle School described how girls have been forced to share a locker room with this same boy.
“I’m here to discuss the matter of a male being in the female locker room.” The Lebanon Middle School student said as she started her speech to the school board at its January 16th, 2024, meeting. “Imagine this is you — you’re an 11-year-old girl who is coming into school thinking that they’re in a safe environment. You go to PE to get ready in the locker room and you see a boy in there. The first time you saw them, you panicked. Do I change in front of the boy? I feel like I’m doing something wrong. Do I take my shirt off? Do I take my pants off? He is doing so, so I think I should. I see him standing there, in his underwear. That was the first time I saw a boy half-naked — in a school that’s supposed to be safe.”
“I wanted to cry. I felt so uncomfortable. The only thing I’m asking for is that all students can change in a locker room that is matched to their gender.” The girl continued. “If they don’t feel comfortable changing, they could change in a private space alone, making others feel comfortable in their locker room. If I was your daughter and I came to you and said I saw the outline of male genitalia for the first time in the locker room at a school that is supposed to be safe, I would hope you would be proactive and find a safe place for all students, not just one percent.”
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita later took to social media to slam the school corporation for its policy of allowing the boy to use the same locker room as girls.
“More insanity in our schools. The media said this wasn’t happening in Indiana.” Rokita wrote in posts to Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter), sharing the REAL News story. “An 11-year-old shouldn’t have to go through any of this. Biological boys shouldn’t be allowed to change in the girls’ locker room or vice versa. It’s not a difficult concept. It’s common sense. Thank you (REAL News Reporter) Clifton French… for shedding light on this situation.”
